School Contact Programme: Pune FC reaches out to young fans

Damle Prashala, Swargate and Jyoti Sant Gadge Maharaj School, Kondhwa played perfect hosts to Pune FC’s senior team players, namely goalkeeper Moniruzzaman Ansari and forward Syed Shoaib Ahmed. The duo were the guests at a school contact programme organised by the schools in order to popularise football within the city on January 10.

The enthusiastic audience, which comprised of school students, and their teachers were happy to see the players and energetically went about asking queries related to the sport. Both Monir and Shoaib, not only spoke to the students, but took their queries one at a time.

Given that the audience was a young and enthusiastic one, the two players encouraged them to take up a career in football. In addition to that, they also spoke on the importance of a right diet, proper and regular training and exercise and how these things help make someone a good sports person.

The Physical Training teacher at Damle Prashala was presented with a Pune FC jersey by Monir and Shoaib as a token of appreciation.
