Pune FC ‘A’ made it three wins in three days with a 2-0 victory over Sangam Young Boys in their final round PDFA Super Division League encounter at the DSK Football Field on Monday.
A first half brace from in-form striker Farukh Choudhary (12th & 14th minute) handed Pune FC their eleventh win of the campaign in this Round-15 clash.
Furthermore, with all teams being awarded a win over B.E.G. who pulled out midway through the league, Pune FC ‘A’ took their tally to 37 points (12W-1D-2L) and finished the campaign in the third place. Pune FC ‘A’ had earlier played a goalless draw against B.E.G. in Round-5.
Meanwhile, Pune FC ‘A’ also finished as the top scorers of the PDFA Super Division League having netted 79 goals in 15 games at a staggering average of 5.26 goals per game. More than one-third of these goals were scored by Farukh Choudhary who finished as the highest goalscorer in the competition with 27 goals.
