The Vidya Valley School Sports Day for classes three, four and five had Pune FC grace the occasion with a message. The turnout, which included parents, students and teaching faculty, were appraised to the importance of sports in the curriculum of the children as well as, how it helps shape their overall personality.
The message was given by Pune FC’s Head of Operations, Chirag Tanna, who was present along with Head Coach of the senior team Karim Bencherifa on the occasion as chief guests. They not only inaugurated the event, but also cheered the participants enthusiastically through the various track and field events that were held.
The event saw the chief guests being felicitated with bouquets. Both Tanna and Bencherifa also distributed prizes to the winners and encouraged them to develop a keener passion for the sport that they were participating in.
The function was held on the Vidya Valley School Ground. A large number of track and field events were held to determine the winners in the various categories. The children themselves cheered for the participants from their respective houses to go and win the individual as well as, group events respectively.
