Pune FC ‘A’ began their campaign in the PDFA Super Division League with a comfortable 5-0 win over Indrayani SC at the Pune FC Training Pitches in Mamurdi.
The big win was powered by a stunning first-ever four goal effort from striker Farukh Choudhary (25th, 27th, 48th & 54th minute) along with a goal from defender Myron Mendes (43rd).
With the start of the game delayed, the duration of the match was reduced to 30 minutes per half. However, that didn’t deter Pune FC who went all out attack from the very beginning.
After pushing forward continuously, Pune FC broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through Farukh. The striker netted once again two minutes later to give Pune FC a 2-0 lead at half time.
The second half was a similar story as Myron increased Pune FC’s lead before Farukh struck twice in the final quarter to seal a 5-0 win.
