Three Pune FC Soccer School youngsters have been selected in the 18-member Pune District Under-13 squad for the upcoming Maharashtra State Inter-District U-13 Tournament to be held in Nashik.
Winger Chaitanyaa Advani, defender Sahil Gaikwad and midfielder Rachit Singh (all 12 years old) have made the cut in the squad representing the Poona District Football Association (PDFA).
The trio who have been part of the Pune FC Soccer Schools for over two years now, joined earlier in 2013 and train regularly at the Mamurdi Centre. In fact, they were also part of the Pune FC Soccer Schools’ U12 team that emerged victorious in the 2013 Kolkata Cup.
Chaitanyaa, a student of the Symbiosis International School, Vimannagar (Class 8th B), has represented Soccer Schools’ U12 & U13 teams in the past and is now part of Pune FC Under-15 team playing in the inaugural U15 Youth League. Meanwhile, Sahil (Class 8th B, Camp Education, Pradhikaran) and Rachit (Class 8th A, Indira NS) are currently part of the Pune FC Soccer Schools’ Under-13 team having played for the U12 team before.
The competition will be held in a knockout format from 10th December to 16th December 2015.
