The participants in the inaugural Godrej Properties-Pune FC ‘The Futsal Cup 2015′ began the second day of the Under-12 inter-school competition paying tribute to former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who passed away late on Monday.
Observing a minute’s silence at the start of the day at the Freekick Turfs in Balewadi, the participating kids from numerous schools honoured the contributions of Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam in various fields.
Having served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007, ‘Missile Man’ Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was also known for his love of children and delivering inspiring lectures to students.
