Freekick-Pune FC Soccer Schools kicked off successfully at the Freekick turfs in Balewadi on Monday, 3rd November, 2014.
Open for girls and boys aged 9 and above, the Freekick-Pune FC Soccer Schools are aimed to help children get interested in the game and also teach them the finer nuances in a systemised and phased manner. Having attracted a good response, the programme aims to make the sport fun for youngsters.
Prior to the launch, the Pune FC team represented by Pune FC Under-19 Coach Naushad Moosa and Soccer School Coach Rakesh Walhekar along with Freekick owner Mr. Bhushan Kirad, conducted a brief meeting with interested parents.
Incidentally, Moosa, an AFC ‘A’ Licence holder, will be overlooking the Soccer School periodically apart from setting the daily curriculum.
After discussing on various topics as to how the programme would benefit every kid involved, it was decided that the Soccer Schools will be conducted thrice-a-week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on five-a-side pitches at Freekick.
