Pune FC Under-15s bounced back to winning ways with a big 7-2 victory over Blue Stags FC in a friendly encounter at the Club’s Training Pitches in Mamurdi on Sunday.
Striker Ishan Dey (13th, 18th and 78th minute) powered the big win with a hattrick while Saurabh Salape (20th and 58th) added a brace. Muzafar Ali (15th) and Ameya Talegaonkar (84th) too got on the scoresheet to complete the rout against the senior-level PDFA Third Division side.
After a slow start in the opening ten minutes, the game burst into life just around the quarter hour mark. Pune FC made most of the chances that felt their way striking four times in eight minutes in a show of dominance.
First it was Ishan Dey who broke the deadlock in the 13th minute, before Muzafar Ali doubled the lead two minutes later. Ishan once again found the back of the net on Dyaneshwar Madavi’s pass in the 18th minute as Saurabh Salape made it four with a sublime freekick couple minutes later.
The visitors managed to hold on further attacks in the first half as Pune FC took their four goal advantage into the breather.
The second half Blue Stags come out of their shell and attack. Their efforts were rewarded when they managed to pull one back by converting a penalty kick in the 56th minute.
However, just minutes later, Saurabh restored Pune FC’s four goal advantage after scoring on Muzarfar Ali’s brilliant pass.
The visitors fought back hard once again struck in the 65th minute before late strikes from Ishaan (78th minute), who completed his hattrick, and Ameya Talegaonkar (84th minute) handed Pune FC a well-deserved win.
