The Symbiosis International Students Sports Meet (SISSM) 2015 played perfect hosts to Pune Football Club skipper Anas Edathodika and mid-fielder Fanai Lalrempuia, who were guests of honour for the day.
The 8-day event, being held at Symbiosis International University, Lavale Campus, gained huge participation numbers with 23 men and six women teams competing for top honours.
As part of the promotional activity, Pune FC had a host of their exclusive merchandise on-hand for students to purchase. Similarly, a Pune FC membership drive was also organized. The day included a host of fun game activities revolving around the ‘Beautiful Game’ to keep the participants in sync with the ocassion.
In addition to the tournament participants were informed in depth about the various activities Pune FC conducts, their objectives and goals for the future. The club also conducted a small survey regarding Indian Football.
Some of the other dignitaries present included; Sanjeevani Mujumdar, Honorary Director, Dr. Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, Amruta Ruikar, Executive-International Promotions & International Students Relations, and Dr. Ashish Phulkar, Director, University Sports Board, SIU.
