Pune FC Women’s ‘A’ opened their campaign with a massive 9-0 win over SKF Academy in the PDFA League Women’s Division at the Dobarwadi Ground in Ghorpadi on Saturday.
Playing their first ever competitive game, Pune FC didn’t show any sign of inexperience as they pumped in goals throughout the duration of the game.
A hattrick from Smriti Girish (5th, 6th, 29th minute) and a brace from Komal Devkule (25th, 31st) set the tone for the day. Meanwhile, Shweta Borude (9th), Darshana Sanas (11th), Sasha Pimento (14th) and Pratiksha Jagtap (27th) also got on the scoresheet to complete the rout.
