Pune FC ‘B’ resumed action in the PDFA Super Division League with a goalless draw against Bishop’s FC in a Round-9 encounter at the DSK Football Field on Monday.

Playing their second game in as many days, Pune FC put up a brave performance against a strong Bishop’s side. Striker Buanthanglun Samte had the best half-chance in a hard fought first half, but his shot on the volley went wide.

Thereafter, Pune FC upped the tempo and pressed further up in search of the opener in the second half. However, the likes of Amos Lalnienga, Sebastian Thangmuansang, Omega V., Pratik Badame, Md. Yasir and Abhishek Mhaske were unable to make the most of the chances that came their way in and around the Bishop’s box.

At the other end, the Pune FC backline did a good job to thwart Bishop’s attacks and helped custodian Anuj Kumar in keeping the clean-sheet.

The draw was Pune FC B’s fourth of the campaign and extended their unbeaten run to nine games. With 19 points in their kitty, Pune FC ‘B’ stay in fourth place in the table behind Deccan Rovers (19 pts) on goal difference.
