Pune FC ‘B’ built on their impressive form with a convincing 6-0 victory over AIYFA Sky Hawks in a Round-3 encounter of the ongoing PDFA Super Division League at the DSK Football Field in Loni.

Having come from behind to draw 3-3 against Pune FC ‘A’ in the previous game, Pune FC ’B’ built on their impressive form with six different players getting on the scoresheet against Sky Hawks.

The win took their tally to 7 points from three games (2W-1D-0L) as they moved up to third place in the Super Division standings.

The onslaught started in as early as the fourth minute of the game when attacker Abhishek Mhaske received a clear ball. He dodged the opponents defence and calmly slotted it in. Ten minutes later playmaker Omega V received a low assist from the right flank in the box, which he coolly tapped in. While the Pune FC ‘B’ team dictated proceedings throughout the first half, the two teams went into the breather with the scoreline reading 2-0 in Pune FC’s favour.

The second half began exactly like the first with Pune FC scoring in the opening exchanges. Two minutes in, Buanthanglun Samte curled in a direct free kick. The left footed kick looped in dangerously over the Sky Hawks goal and caught the custodian unaware and went straight in.

The game thereafter went into overdrive with Pune FC ‘B’ launching an out and out attack on the Sky Hawks defences. In the 69th minute, Amos Lalnienga was at the end of a pass by Mohammed Yasir. Amos made no mistake in tapping the ball past a diving Sky Hawks custodian.

It was Yasir’s turn in the 77th minute when he raced down the left and slotted the ball in the corner. The last goal of the game came in the 80th minute when Asish Rai took another shot from distance which saw the ball curl past the Sky Hawks keeper who stood rooted to his spot as he watched the ball sail past him.
