Ten-man Pune FC registered their third consecutive win hammering VOBA 6-0 in a PDFA Super Division League Round-13 encounter at the DSK Football Field in Loni on Saturday.

The huge win was powered by a record five goals from striker Aniket Jadhav (13th, 18th, 21st, 40th and 78th minute) while medio Sajid Hossain (73rd) scored the sixth.

Pune FC ‘B’ played more than an hour with ten-men after keeper Debopriya Das was sent off in the 27th minute.

The ninth win of the campaign took Pune FC B’s tally to 31 points from 13 games as they extended their unbeaten run to 13 games (9W-4D-0L) and reclaimed the top spot ahead of second placed Deccan Rovers (28 pts).

After a slow start, the game burst into action right around the quarter hour mark as Aniket completed a hattrick in nine minutes. He first scored with a solo effort in the 13th minute before doubling the lead in five minutes later slotting home a rebound after Buanthanglun Samte’s shot was blocked by the VOBA custodian.

Three minutes later, Aniket completed his hattrick after a clever ball from midfield sent him through on goal and he made no mistake in converting from close.

Midway through the half, Pune FC went down to ten men after goalkeeper Debopriya Das was harshly sent off despite having cleared a long ball over the defence having come out his area. The referee chose to ignore the clearance and gave the decision in favour of the VOBA striker who was chasing the ball and barged into the Pune FC custodian.

Despite being down to ten men, Pune FC continued to dominate the proceedings and increased their lead further in the 40th minute. Aniket made a clever run in behind the VOBA defence and slotted home from close to give Pune FC a 4-0 lead going into the breather.

The second half was a similar story as Pune FC continued to push up and dominate the proceedings.

Midway through the half, Pune FC got their fifth when Sajid ran past the VOBA defence to break their offside trap and coolly finish past the goalkeeper.

Five minutes later, Pune FC made it a tennis scoreline when Aniket got his fifth of the game. The youngster broke the offside trap and scored with a clever strike to take his tally to ten goals in the campaign and seal a well-deserved 6-0 win for Pune FC.
