Pune FC ‘A’ hammered AIYFA Sky Hawks 8-0 to register their second consecutive win in the PDFA Super Division League at the DSK Football Field in Loni on Monday.
Riding high on their 10-0 win over Bishop’s FC in the previous round, Pune FC ‘A’ dominated proceedings throughout the Round-11 encounter which kicked off late at 10.00 pm in the night.
For the second consecutive game, striker Farukh Choudhary (38th, 43rd & 90th) bagged a hattrick. He was supported well by a brace each from striker Arif Shaikh (5th, 50th) and winger Sannik Murmu (75th, 86th). Balkar Singh (60th) scored the other goal to complete the rout.
The win was Pune FC A’s eighth of the campaign and took their tally to 26 points maintaining their sole leadership at the top of the Super Division standings.
