Pune FC ‘A’ bounced back to winning ways in style thrashing Bishop’s FC 10-0 in a PDFA Super Division League Round-10 encounter at the DSK Football Field in Loni on Thursday.
Having suffered a narrow 1-2 loss in the previous round against DSK Shivajians, Pune FC ‘A’ came out all guns firing against Bishop’s and netted six goals in the first half itself.
Leading the pack was striker Farukh Choudhary (10th, 12th, 37th minute) who grabbed a hattrick inside 40 minutes. Attacker Chesterpaul Lyngdoh (27th), winger Dimple Bhagat (39th) and playmaker Md. Ashique (44th) also got on the scoresheet before the break.
The second half was a similar story as Pune FC continued to pump in goals. Quick goals from Chesterpaul (51st), Farukh (53rd) who got his fourth and Ashique (56th) who completed his brace gave Pune FC a nine goal advantage.
Midway through the half, Pune FC completed the rout as Chesterpaul (73rd) completed his hattrick to seal the massive 10-0 win.
The win was Pune FC A’s seventh of the campaign and took their tally to 23 points taking sole leadership of the league standings ahead of second placed Pune FC ‘B’ (22 pts).
