Soft-spoken Lino Sequeria, in his first-ever association with a professional football club, was drafted into the system with an aim to work with the Peninsula Pune Football Club Academy (PPFCA) Under-19s apart from the U-17s and U-15s teams.

Having completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.Th.) from the Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore in 2009, Lino went on work for a year with Dr. Bharat Patel, President of Bombay Orthopaedic Society.

Training stints with the current Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) President Dr. Umashanker Mohanty and Fortis Hospital, Mumbai added on to his experience that he now shares at the club.

Lino has also worked with fitness and exercise expert, Mr. Elton Menezes for a brief spell of six months to gain important exposure in fitness and supplementation.

An enthusiastic footballer himself, Lino describes his job as “an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down.” On a daily basis, Lino, at the academy provided rehabilitation, fitness training, nutrition and match day cover.
